Hi Amid -- No, I have NOT experienced weight gain on Prednisone, but I am also very active with exercise and coaching my kids.  I take my Prednison twice daily -- 7.5 mg AM; 5 mg PM.  I switched from hydrocortisone several years ago because I was feeling my levels "dip" in the afternoon.  Prednisone is much faster acting and helps my levels remain constant throughout the day.

As I've gotten older (I'm 44), I'm definitely more in-tune with my body and can literally feel how my levels are doing.  My mood and energy respond accordingly.  If I feel good, and remain slightly undersuppressed (the risks of oversuppression are high), then I know I've found the right mix.

Hope this helps -- Eric

Eric B.
