re: cah/salt wasting

Good morning!

When my son was 12, he had a sever headache. I took him to Children's Hospital. When they looked in his eyes, they could tell there was pressure. They do this by looking at the Optic Nerve. It should be a very sharp, clear line around the Optic Nerve, my son's wasn't - this means too much fluid in the head.

My son was received an emergency Spinal Tap. His pressure was so high they couldn't measure it. They also started him on Diamox.

This started in January 2006 and didn't end until they placed a Shunt in his head December 2006.

I do not want to scare you, but this is very serious. If you would like, I can call you with more details.

My best to you,

Diane
