re: re: cannot get the potassium down

Unfortunately, I think they just have to get used to the NACL. I can remember when my daughter was in NICU and they were trying and trying to find an amount of milk she wouldn't gag on with the NACL in it. I think it was just trial and error unfortunately. I can remember giving my daughter a 2 ounce preemie bottle of formula and the NACL and the Florinef dissolved in that because I wanted to make sure she was going to drink every bit of it. Then gave her the bottle with nothing but formula in that, then...yes then I breast fed her. I supplemented a long time because I had such a hard time producing breast milk because of the high stress I was enduring at her birth. I am so sorry you are having such trouble with this potassium problem. Hopefully she will get used to the taste, and this too shall pass! Keep us updated.
Laura
