Is he still on the prednisone? He stopped growing????? I have heard horror stories about Prednisone in people that take it (not CAH patients, but people in general) and it scares us to death. His endo took him off of his hydrocordisone when his bone age revealed that he had completed growing (his bones had fused and the dr. said he wouldn't grow anymore.). He's 15 and he's 5'11". His dad actually grew a couple of inches while he was in college so I can't understand why a dr. can say he's finished growing at 15. The Prednisone makes him hungry all the time. He was on 7.5 mg every morning, but a few weeks ago his numbers were up so the dr. put him on 10mg a day. We're just unsure of the long-term effects. Wondered if anyone else had taken it. Thanks.
