re: re: Extremely High Potassium Levels in 7 Week-old Baby Girl
Jul. 24th, 2008   1:57pm
Hi Chynna my son is now 20yrs old and when he was first diagnosed with cah at 2 weeks his pottasium level was 10.3, at the time it meant not a lot to me and my husband, but we soon learned that it was very high. They started him on the meds your niece is on and over a few weeks it came down, he was also attached to heart monitors all the time but obviously some one above must have been looking after him heart showed no effects and the doctors were all amazed that he did not have a heart attack. So although I know its hard to watch your baby like this it should become alright because my son is now a big strapping, healthy lad.
Catherine
