re: re: CAH and Migraines
Jul. 21st, 2008   11:23am

I too have been a migraine sufferer. Mine started at age 22 - I'm 49 now. aspartame (nutrasweet) was the main culprit for me. Two sips of a diet pop and I'd have a migraine. Yellow dye #5 and beans were also bad for me as were bananas, avocados, and MSG not only helped give me a migraine - but gave me diarreah as well! I found processed meats and cheddar cheese to be bad, and even herbal tea.  Mine were worse with hormones... day 21 of my cycle when my progesterone was at it's highest was when I was most prone. Stress would trigger one also. For me I always got them at 4 in the afternoon. I think my blood sugar was getting low at that time and if I didn't eat something healthy for me I would get a migraine.

I had a hysterectomy last December and have only had one migraine since then - thank heavens!
