After observing several hundreds if not thousands of toddlers exhibiting various behaviors, and responding to various environments and activities, it's pretty easy to draw a conclusion about what they do and do not know. This is from the American Academy of Pediatricians. Give them at least a little credit for knowing what they are talking about.
