re: re: Gender dysphoria in the very young Jul. 18th, 2008 8:37pm
My daughter, at a very young age used to say that she was a boy and we would gently correct her. She doesn't say that anymore. When I was young I remember taking a bath with my brother and saying that I wished I was a boy because I wanted to have a penis like my brother. I don't feel that way anymore and my daughter seems to be fine with the fact that she is a girl although I too wonder if it is because she knows it's the "right" thing to say. I guess the best I can do is love her unconditionally and help her through rough periods. Good luck, Julia
