Salt wasting CAN be the cause of crisis, but so can other factors of CAH. It is not uncommon for doses of florinef to change as a child gets older. With a matter like this, if you are truly concerned about the advice you are receiving, seek a second medical opinion, since that is the only way you'll get valid information to confirm/dispel your concerns.
