My daughter, SWCAH, will be 20 next month. Twice in her life she has been checked by a cardiologist because her BP seemed a little high. The first time they said it was medicine related and we made some changes (not CAH meds) and the other time she wore a Holter monitor for 24 hrs. They said her heartbeat was a little faster than normal - at all times (during activity and at rest) - but due to CAH and meds he wasn't concerned. Now she is taking an EMT class (she is in the rescue squad) and 3 students insisted her heartbeat sounded "funny". Her instructor checked her and said she has an irregular heartbeat and she suggested my daughter get a cardiology appt. for an EKG. I guess we will call that dr back and see if he will either see her or recommend an adult cardiologist. Could irregular heartbeat be in any way related to CAH or to her meds?
