re: re: Insurance/Disability
May. 27th, 2008   10:39pm
I am currently starting the process for Social Security Disability.  I am 30 and have many health issues stemming from the CAH.  I am only 4'7 which does limit me some what in jobs I can do but the main thing is I just cant physically manage a 40 hour work week.  When I was working I could go about 3 months before I would have an adrenal crisis episode.  I have severe allergies and asthma.  And have just been diagnosed with Osteoporosis of the spine from the steroids.  My 17 hydroxy levels are always up and down and my meds are constantly changing.  I feel like a 70 year old in a 30 year old body.  But when I talk to my doctors about Disability and medicare they tell me CAH is not severe enough for Disability.  Does anyone have any helpful tips on how to get this to go through?
Sara
