Laura -MRI was fine...still need prayers for the vision
May. 25th, 2008   9:55pm

Hey, Laura -

thanks for checking in..........and for reminding me that this is a slooooowwwww process.  Her vision is about the same in that eye.

Her 8th grade trip to Hershey Park is coming up...and like an IDIOT, I had a talk with her first about what a not-so-good idea it is to go on the roller coasters (this injury is perhaps due to the sudden pressure put on the eye versus the actual impact...there was never any real swelling/redness/etc. externally...and the MRI showed no fracture)

...and THEN I asked about her vision lately.  DUHHHHHHHHH...what a rookie mistake:  "I can see a LOT better in that eye, mom.....really!".   I said, "OK...your vision in that eye was 20/20 before...."  "but it's fine, mom....OK...it might be 21/20 now...but I'll be fine".

*sigh*...."21/20"?  nice try.....

thanks much for your prayers.  Her f/u is June 5th....hoping for much better vision by then...

:)

Kare
