(off topic) Great help for runners
May. 22nd, 2008   6:55pm

Jonathan (14 SWCAH) has been getting into running, just for running, but my wife, Linda, has been getting enthused about organizign it for the family. So far they;ve ran in three 5k's and today we found a site that helps creating a trainign schedule. They have a 12-week "Walk to Run" training program that I'll be starting next Monday.

You can find the site at http://nikeplus.com, and click on the "Train with Nike+ Coach" to ge to the training programs and select which program you want, and from there you can select which level. You'll need to register for your info to be saved.

I think running solves a lot of problems with trying to teach kids a healthy attitude toward exercise. Public school seem to focus too much on competitive sports, which only a small percentage of students actually benefit from. Running can be enjoyable by itself or as a competition, so it seems to be less intimidating. It seems like a great benefit for kids with CAH.
