re: re: someone PLEASE help w/ these ACTH stim. test results Jul. 8th, 2008 7:40am
thanks so much kat! :-)...yeah I think I was confused about what was supposed to happen after the test...but now that I think about it, you are right (good thing I didn't call my doctor like I had planned to ask her if it's possible they mixed up the before and after results :-O. I would have been so embarrassed). I think I heard that the testosterone would drop sharply with the test results or something and I might have confused that with the other hormones. The doctor didn't measure T hormone, b/c from previous test the levels were normal. so I think I was confused...I aslo agree with you on the 3 beta deficiency! I think it might be a possiblity. I was reading a little info on it at the cares foundation website and trying to learn a little more at other sites. HEY KAT thank you so much for all the info you share on this website you're really appreciated...just one more thing if you get a chance. Can you help me understand the 11-deoxycortisol results? I looked that term up and it said something about being a precursor for cortisol? did my levels before and after the test seem normal to you? If you have any knowledge of this I would be so grateful if you could help me understand...do you think the 3 beta form also means I'm deficient in cortisol?
