Natalie, I really don't think this is normal teenage fatigue, either. My daughter couldn't stay up late if she wanted to. And I have to say that last year I was always on her to get to bed, but not this year. She started taking pred in Dec, starting at 5 mgs and weaning down to 2. At first we noticed that she got up easier in the morning and didn't sleep as late on the weekends, just generally seemed to have a little more energy. During the summer she seemed to sleep in just as much as before she was on pred and now that she's back in school, she seems to be exhausted all the time. To me this is the worst problem (she also deals with chronic hives and food allergies, along with the hormonal stuff). I'm really concerned about her handling college next year. I know that stress makes it worse, and that may be the difference this year, as she has a heavy load and is in marching band. She goes to the gyno (who prescribed the Yasmin) and the allergist (who prescribed the pred) both in the next few weeks, so I'll let you know if they have any insight. Do you have any suggestions of things I should ask or things to be tested?
