How long have you been on prednisolone? Is it the same thing as prednisone? If so, you are on a higher dose than most, so you might want to ask about that. My understanding is that with LOCAH, the adrenals are functional, but impaired, and SHOULD respond properly under stress. However, steroid treatment is to SUPPRESS the adrenals (in order to stop the high production of androgens) and that suppression is what can lead to a crisis. So I think it depends on the length of time you've been on steroids (more than 6 mos?) and maybe the dose. I agree with the others to ask your endo and that the extra steroids won't hurt.
