New to LOCAH
Oct. 9th, 2006   4:36pm

My endo. wants to do a stim test to check for LOCAH. I've been on this site and reading many of the posts. I'm somewhat uncertain as to if I would want to take steroids, etc. for treatment IF I end up having LOCAH. I've heard many talking about side effects of weight gain, "moon face" ,etc. What exactly is this "moon face" thing? And how/why do you get it? And once starting on steriod treatment, does this mean that you will be permenantly  dependant on it for life? Would I definitely need a med alert bracelet and "stress dosing", even though I haven't had a problem during exercise, etc. until now? I'm getting confused with all this new info. and need some help/guidance. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Heather
