re: re: re: 15 and Anticipating cosmetic surgery Mar. 10th, 2004 8:32pm
Kacy,
I was reading your post and I want to let you know that I have a 5 year old daughter with CAH, SW, and she has had a growing clitoris since 4 months of age. It'a a miracle that she is still alive because she was not diagnosed or started on meds until she was 2. When I learned about this disorder, I was really frightened about what it may mean. My heart goes out to you, and I am wondering if my daughter is going to go through the same issues as you. I decided not to have cosmetic surgery, I will let her decide that when she is older, do you think that's a good idea? Would you rather your mother have had the surgery before you really knew what was going on? I'm just curious because I don't know what to do. The doctors don't know what it's like to live with it, you know? So, please if you have any input, I'd appreciate it! Thanks.
