My SWCAH dd is now 22 months old. A few days after she was born, she was flown down to the University of Michigan to get her meds/labs, etc in order (we were there for three days). U of M is a teaching hospital, so we met with many different doctors - everyone is interested in a rare CAH baby...and I didn't mind meeting with all these different doctors because I wanted as much information as I could get. I'll never forget one of the endos who kept trying to impress on me that, "You must be prepared that there's a chance that your daughter may be gay." I didn't have much of a reaction to her comment because I JUST DON'T CARE! Because I didn't react much, she kept telling me that every time she saw me for three days! It was a bit of overkill. I don't think she believed that it really wouldn't bother me in the least. The only thing that would bother me at all if she were gay is that it may make her life a little more difficult, but as far as our acceptance of her...doesn't matter AT ALL. She's perfect just as she is (except for those minor temper outbursts she occasionally has...)!
