I agree with Aimee that even if a 'gay gene' existed, the much more plausible explanation for any inclination in 11-beta and 21-alpha hydroxylase deficiency CAH females towards homosexual practice would be the rampant nature of androgenisation in utero and the early years, with possibly some influence by surgical outcomes.
Logically this makes a whole lot more sense than any gaygene - particularly in this group of people!!
