re: re: Abstract: Sexual orientation in women with classical or non-classical CAH
Jun. 29th, 2008   11:50am
IF this overthrow of male hormone in girls makes them gay, would it also not make it true of boys with CAH as even though they are male (WHICH THE GIRLS ARE NOT) they have excess androgens, would this make them GAY too.  I agree with concerned mother.  I also think that because so much focus is made on having surgery, and not being normal etc, intersex, could some girls actually feel men wouldn't want them, therefore, lean towards other women?

I am sorry but I do think this is all very disheartening for parents, and there are some on this board, who just love to stir and upset parents, who are struggling to come to terms with the reality of medication keeping their children alive. WHAT about the thousands of women who do not have CAH, so what makes them gay??

Perhaps if we could really encourage young girls to feel normal with having CAH after all IS NOT AN INTERSEX CONDITION, they wouldn't feel so different, and suffer so many emotional problems. TOO much is focus on this, no wonder there are some who don't know what gender they are.

As for studies well these can often be manipulated to get the results they want.
