re: Abstract: Sexual orientation in women with classical or non-classical CAH

I think you are onto something there M1. Speaking from a research angle, IMHO I believe that evidence may present in the future that the administration of Dex in pregnancy may decrease the current propensity towards homosexual attachments which exists in some CAH adults - so long as treatment throughout childhood and teenage years maintains control of the androgens.

To the parents - the reality is that CAH research which presents findings which you do not want to hear cannot be muted to make you all feel comfortable, nor can we as CAH adults always keep quiet for the same reasons.

CAH was not 'discovered' with the birth of your child! Many of us have gone before and have 'the lived experience' of CAH, so we do know a thing or two!

As LLL says, get used to the reality of this condition. No-one denies that it is a challenging and diverse condition. It affects many aspects of our lives and these challenges don't stop when childhood ends and adulthood is reached.
