I thought if she could express why she was actually nervous then she could identify way to conteract or eliminate those feelings of nervousness.  I do understand waht you wrote and was looking for ways to help her sort out her feelings.

For example maybe the surgeon could go over questions again that came up.

I used the same idea with my cancer treatment - If I was nervous then I would write down why and get answers to help disolve or reduce the feelings of being nervous.

I have CAH and had genital surgery performed on me.

I apologize if you felt my response was another way as I don't have the answer on surgery for anyone but me.

Also, her post is on the controversy board so respectfully please don't tell me how to respond.

I do understand that you may have sensitive feelings but all I asked was why she felt nervous. Please don't assume as living with CAH is complex at times.

When I've been nervous or appeared nervous, other people have always encouraged me to talk or write out the reasons why and that has always helped me to feel better or somewhat better and have then the courage to dig deep and deal and plan.
