Our daughter is 8, hasn't had the surgery, and has no worries about it. My wife worries about it more than our daughter does. For the most part she's never in any situation where others would seem her without clothes on, and I don't think little girls generally are. Of course we homeschool, and I have no idea how they treat personal privacy at government schools these days.
