needed to add that I've talked with Lesbians that have CAH and also bi sexual people with CAH the word intersex doesn't fly with them either. The Intersex Society of North America does have some good info but the word detracts from everything. B, I went to school with a true hermaphrodite and talked with others and people with CAH aren't true hermaphrodites but higher up the prader scale girls were called female pseudo hermaphrodites in my day and now prader scale works and as more current knowledge is know wouldn't it be great to use it? True Hermaphrodites don't necessarily have the ambiguous genitals at but they do have the mixture of ovaries/testes unlike CAH where it's one or the other. I think the Victorian doctors were cool to make this discovery and must of been very proud of their work. The true herms were cool and really weren't into the word intersex either being confortable in the gender their brain I guess wanted : )
I respect those with intersex conditions that don't want a gender for their passport in Australia and also believe that option needs to be open to those without any intersex condition but feel the same way.
