What the surgery are the U of Mich did was destroy my identity of self and that is why that body part isn't mine but a vision of how they needed me to look. Now if this was done when medically necessary that would of been different and welcomed but the way they did it was a show of force by scalpel point. They aren't monsters and truely thought what they did was in my best interest.
A body's integeraty is very inportant and they destroyed mine. Now if it was a kid that was upset at how they are born I guess OK but someone that is ok with how they are, hey ask them about any surgery.
Sex and gender really is in the mind and not between the legs. Paint me green. Am I a leperachan? Someone loses or gains weight they are still the same person. I was talking with a nurse while i was getting my iron for the anemia that actually turned out to be cancer about ambiguous genitals and she said, "Ambiguous genitals look weird and are difficult for the parents." I have empathy of why the surgery is done and wanted to share that I was OK THE WAY I was and what others think is their own uncomfortable views about what the human body should look like. They rode my parents into the surgery. I like to be in the same room with the Doctor that told my Dad that I needed surgery to socially fit in and that was far from the truth. because then that means your not accepted for how you really are and that's low self worth already built in. People that I told how I was born didn't think anything of it accept Oh you don't hear about that and the neighborhood girl back then that baby sat me before brought me things to play with at the hospital after my offending genitals were butchered. She wasn't shocked about how I was and neather were the other kids but the surgery makes you feel seperate whereas before it was well Aimee is born like that.
She needed surgery for gym class? the hour would of been better spent with a math tutor.
