I feel so bad that you feel so used and betrayed by the medical field and what was done to you. I just can't imagine someone doing that to my Mitzi. ???????? Who knows maybe they have. But I do watch most every Doctor she comes in to contact with....NOW. When she was in Childrens Hospital in Cincinnati ( a learning hospital )I do remember many Drs. coming in the room during exams. But ...I was always there. I don't understand why you feel you body parts are not yours? But I won't probe as it is your personal battle on the ones who wronged you. Should have /could have would have. I am sure we all would change something that life has given us in some form......But honestly I do believe you are so well rounded and truthful with your experience. I guess one has to wonder how different is the medical field from the nasty old drunk Uncle who molested me many times as a child. I did NOT lose any body parts physically.........BUT you lose them all mentally forever. I can say when you meet the soul mate / lover/bestfriend/ husband. You find a part of yourself that you kept away from the rest of the world. Don't get me wrong YOU NEVER GET OVER IT and you are menatlly scarred for life. I can't fathom having my body changed to remind me of it. What a mind trip. I am writing this in hopes that you KNOW that someday it will get better. Do you forgive and forget. NEVER!
But you do move on and continue to be as positive about your life as possible. My heart hurts for you and the millions of others that have been treated unfairly in the medical world. I am thankful that you and people like you are speaking out and sharing your stories and this will make a difference.
It helped when the nasty Old Uncle died ! CLOSURE is a good thing !
