Question for Betsy?
Feb. 13th, 2005   5:00pm
What I call chopping off of tissue is probably more delicately described as "reconstruction". Most clitoral surgery involves the removal of tissue to reduce the size of it. I don't believe they are doing recessions much any more because of the pain it causes upon sexual arousal. In fact, I understand that many women who had that done have had it reversed.

I also have a couple of pictures of his technique that were provided to me by another physician. They are not online and I generally haven't made them available except for using them in a couple of appropriate presentations. Once you see what is being removed in the pictures, it's a bit easier to see what is being removed. It makes the concept of "reconstruction" a bit bizarre because it really is more of a deconstruction.
