intersex does not really work to describe CAH. Little boys are born without ambigous genitalia, NCCAH girls have "girl" genitalia you can't have a condition where the label only applies to SOME of those who have it. So, that rules it out as a term appling to CAH in my mind.
When explaining CAH to those around us, I explain how they found out our daughter had CAH and then go into how amazing the human body is & how the lack of cortisol can trigger such a domino effect..isn't the body amazing?
Just my thoughts on it..also our Endo does not refer to CAH as an intersex condition. Nor does he examine her genitalia, he asks my wife & I if there are any changes..and that is that.
