My daughter, who is now 23 year old has just been advised to start taking Prednisolone instead of Dexamethasone. She is suffering from increasing symptoms of digestive problems, headaches, extreme weight gain and insomnia. All of these symptoms have been put down to taking Dexamethasone for too long, by her consultant. Over the years she has been given varying advice by different doctors, - often contradictory, which is very worrying. Is there anyone out there who can offer any hope for taking Prednisolone in combating some of these side effects - eg. weight gain...?
