This is all very interesting and even though my son no longer takes fludrocortisone, when he did we were never given the tablets in the original bottle with the expiry date on it.  In fact I wrongly thought that fludro had a very long shelf life, so this may be something to be aware of when picking up a script.  We have always used a tablet holder, so would have found it a nuisance too.
