Our daughter has had 3 broken collarbones in the last 5 years. in her case, our experience is that the adrenal crisis happens about 10-15 mins after the accident. She went to sleep about 10-15mins after each time. Due to her reaction from the accident (blood curling screams and non stop hysterical crying) myself and husband thought that it was a serious injury so on 2 occasions we gave her additional hydrocortisone orally (tablets) and once was an injection.
