Hi All
Tks to a special person who I have been talking to, I feel a lot better abt myself and have started posting again.
Harking back to the darling angel, and Mother of Douglas Ray Jester Jnr who took the time to set up a Memorial site to her son who died aged 21 of SWCAH, see http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Canyon/7906 and her warnings re above, I want to go through this again, near Winter time in Oz.
You are in a group entitled to cheaper flu shots (cheaper and easier from yr local council at abt $20) b/c of faulty immune systems. Pls do not overlook this important matter.
Now, I once did a first aid course, yes boring, I know. It was in Winter and we had to do that dreadful "mouth to mouth resucitation" stuff to pass the course. You had to use a plastic mouthpiece on the dummy. (Well, I'm really not keen on this idea at all, and at the least, easily misinterrpreted). Perhaps 20 ppl on this course, many had with colds (at least 7 I counted b/c I was watching for this). All the mouthpieces were kept in one plastic bag with an antiseptic solution for you to recover. There were only 3 left when I was supposed to retrieve mine.
I said No, I did not believe them that this would work and was worried abt catching a cold. I was threatened that if I did not use one of the remaining mouthpieces I would fail the course. Yes all meek and mild and not wanting to be the centre of attention and an argument, I did as I was told, hard to believe init?
I complained to my supervisor later and he said "Stuff them, you should have said No". A g/f Meredith also said that she was good with power point presentations and could knock up any certificate I wanted if that was what I was worried abt.
So there!! Say No! It's important and was only a silly course.
My friend Meredith also said you must go on the Fire Wardens course, it's a blast, literally. You get to set things on fire and blow up things. Meredith said that after doing this course she only realized what fun it was to set things on fire and they had found the real pyromaniac within her. (NB: Not funny re bushfires, and we know it)
Another dead set exciting course I have done is Effective Management Strategies. Wot a winner of a name! It's to do with keeping on track and efficiency. I did it as I had nothing to do! Everything was organized, planned, talked abt, filed etc etc. I still think that's funny that I did a course abt how to be organized b/c I was so organzied I had nothing to do:)
Well I know this is a boring post but the topic is not. Keep yrself safe with a flu shot and remember dear Douglas Ray Jester Jnr. and his dear Mother.
