My son is 8 1/2 years old and we have had both the HCC and carers allowance since about 3 months of age. Our doctor seemed to tick the right boxes and to be honest from what I have heard this seems to be how it works. The other little girl in town who has CAH (Geraldton WA) wasn't getting it but she reapplied in the last few years and now gets it. Every year we receive a letter asking if anything has changed in his condition which we reply no and we keep getting it. When you live in the country and private health cover is as much as it is , it helps pay for 2/3 of that for our family of 5 which I am very grateful for. If the government wants to help us with our health expenses who am I to complain!!
Best of luck in applying again for it- I would definately try again maybe on your next endo visit.
