Hi to all. Feel a bit like a travel agent, but... CLAN (CAH Living As Neighbours - www.cahclan.org) would love to hear from anyone who may be interested in coming along to a CAH Club meeting overseas.
We have been attending meetings in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Manila for a few years, and there is now a new club in Indonesia also. Children and families at these meetings are always hugely encouraged to meet with their CAH neighbours from Australia, and we know from some recent interviews in HCM that the impact is deeply felt. Likewise, everyone from Australia who has attended one of these meetings has found the experience to be immensely positive. It is quite unique to connect with people on such a profound level even though you have never met before - a bit like meeting family, only you can't speak the same language!
For those who are concerned about travel and illness, I suppose one benefit is that you will be in the unique position of knowing the hospital and local paediatric endocrinologists should you run into any difficulty!
