hmmmm, just found this - about a month or so late!
but to answer your question, The symposium was great.
Although I've been to a few before and heard all the same information countless times, I suppose it would have been extremely beneficial to the parents of recently diagnosed children.
Never before have there been so many patients with CAH there, though. I met some awesome people. Well a few of them I already knew, but there were some newcomers. And two of them virtually live in my backyard - weird! But it's nice to have someone closeby that you can talk to.
Ummmm, I won't say anything about my presentation. That was a shocker...filled with tears, and then what felt like choking on those tears. But people are very appreciative when you tell them your story. I never realised how much it could help others, so for that I think I have grown a little in my understanding of how I can better help the CAH community.
There were practice injections. They're always fun. Especially when you try and convince you Mum to let you inject her. She said no, so it was just the dummy again.
I think that is about it. Can't remember that far back! Not with all these exams....
Well Cheerio
