re: Pregnancy
Jun. 2nd, 2005   4:35am

Hi Jodie

I have a daughter with SWCAH and a son with SWCAH.  I had a CVS done at 12 weeks when pregnant with my son and took dexamethasone until that time.  Once I knew I was carrying a  boy I was able to be weaned off the dexamethasone.  The side effects I had were that I put on a lot of weight, my skin was really bad and I had extreme insomnia.  The insomnia was the worst part.  Like Lisa D said if I ever have to take the dex again for another pregnancy I will be asking for some sleeping tablets.  I work full time and have two children already so I desperately need my sleep.  You may be lucky and not experience the insomnia!!!!!

Good luck

Jane
