re: dexamethasone
Mar. 27th, 2005   9:49pm

Dear Leanne,

I am currently on Dexamethasone and take 0.25mg at night with Hydrocortisone in the morning.  If you are finding that dosages are a problem for you or the medication, have you discussed this with your doctor and organised some blood tests or further investigations to find the dosage right for you?  Different medications work differently for many people but the general rule-of-thumb is that there should be minimal side-effects due to the medications being essentially hormone replacement for us rather than at treatment levels that, say someone with arthritis or asthma etc would have as steroid treatment.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Lilea
