Cortisone
May. 24th, 2002   8:31am

Our 3 year old daughter is currently taking cortisone tablets called Cortate, it mentions on the bottle ".. each containing CORTISONE ACETATE 5mg".  My concern is that on the main board under the heading "Cost of Cortate" a couple of people mentioned that cortisone acetate was not appropriate for treating CAH and that it is "out of date" treatment.   I was just wondering what other CAH children in Australia are currently taking.  Her Endo in Brisbane is quite well respected in his profession, so I would be surprised if he was not up to date with things.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Jenni
