Medic Alert bracelets
10/13/01 2:22 AM

Our endocrinologist at Phx Children's Hosp. told us to sign up with medic alert and get bracelets for both of the kids so we did.  The lady on the phone when I ordered told me to measure their wrists which I did, but I told her that I heard from another document (from info the Emily Center gathered for me) that I could put it around their left ankle also and she said that the paramedics won't look there.  Is that true?  Where do your kids wear theirs?

I was concerned with the baby chewing on hers, and my three year old getting his caught in something playing sports, roughhousing or "being a superhero" (boys will be boys).  We don't usually wear jeans here except for maybe two months out of the year because it's so hot.  Will they really only look at the "left wrist" or the "necklace" area?

Thanks,

Adina
